Support the Captain Paul Watson Foundation UK
AKA Neptune's Pirates UK!
Formerly known as Sea Shepherd UK - on the 18th of May 2023 our UK charity re-branded as the 'Captain Paul Watson Foundation UK' (CPWF-UK)
Founded in June 2005, we were one of the oldest established Sea Shepherd entities with our own campaigns, and most importantly fully independent pre-dating 'Sea Shepherd Global' by over 8 years.
Despite all the difficulties in rebranding an 18 year old charity - we decided that this had to be done in order to make it totally clear that our loyalty is to our founder Paul Watson, as well as to concentrate on continuing our campaigns rather than use valuable donated funds fighting against the 4 directors who kicked Paul Watson out of the movement he founded, named, and built from scratch for over 4 decades.
Our 6 campaigns in the UK, Faroe Islands, Iceland and Namibia will continue with new tactics and new campaigns are also being considered. CPWF-UK will be collaborating with the Captain Paul Watson Foundation (USA) founded in 2022, CPWF's growing chapters around the world, as well as with the two other independent Sea Shepherd entities in France and Brazil which also remain loyal to Paul Watson.
Our campaigns will continue to be solely for the benefit of marine animals, who are ‘our clients’. Our investigations will be followed by action, whether that be physical intervention, legal action - or both.
CPWF-UK will never be subject to restrictive agreements with governments. Our media and opinions will never be censored. And our crew (Neptune's Pirates) and our fleet (Neptune's Navy) will go where they are needed - even if they are unwelcome.
So to everyone who has stayed with us on our voyage through these treacherous times and rough waters - you have our thanks
Our dive boat Spectre and our ex-MOD landing craft Selkie are joined by our new largest all weather patrol boat ‘Nemesis’ on loan from the Green Britain Foundation - and we have a new RIB ‘Lionheart’ which has joined our fast boats ‘Shadow’, ‘Ghost’ and ‘Siren’.
BUT to keep our marine conservation campaigns going, our boats active and maintained, to engage in new campaigns and initiatives like the #blubberbutcher...and to increase our effectiveness - we urgently need general operations funding, donations to buy fuel, equipment, drones, cameras, have the ability to maintain boast and supply engine parts, and purchase essential safety equipment.
Quite simply - by donating you keep our fleet and crew on campaigns and save marine wildlife. We could not do our campaigns without your support!
For the oceans...
